Build Backlinks from posting in forums
All webmasters are always looking for decent ways to get backlinks for their site (& me no exception to that). To this I have posted a list of forums with DoFollow attribute on my blogger post and you may like to visit and register on a few yourself to assist you in this venture to promote your website(s).
If you don’t know what is backlink: A quick and short response for you is Backlinks display other webpages that link to your site or posts.
If you wish to know in detail what is a back link read on,
Backlinks (or back-links) are incoming links to a website or web page. In the search engine optimization (SEO) world, the number of backlinks is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page (though other measures, such as PageRank, are likely to be more important). Outside of SEO, the backlinks of a webpage may be of significant personal, cultural or semantic interest: they indicate who is paying attention to that page.
In basic link terminology, a backlink is any link received by a web node (web page, directory, website, or top level domain) from another web node (Björneborn and Ingwersen, 2004). Backlinks are also known as incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward links.
SERP
A search engine results page, or SERP, is the listing of web pages returned by a search engine in response to a keyword query. The results normally include a list of web pages with titles, a link to the page, and a short description showing where the keywords have matched content within the page. A SERP may refer to a single page of links returned, or to the set of all links returned for a search query.
DO FOLLOW
When blogs were first starting and even to date nasty spammers look to abuse blog commenting and forums with spam comments with not so friendly site links, trying to promote all kinds of porn sites. To combat this, Google implemented the “no follow” tag. This tag was picked up by wordpress and most of the forums and impelemented for URLs in comments as standard in their scripts. What it means is that URLs in the comments field are ignored by google, and pagerank and indexing are not improved for the target sites, from these links. The expectation was that this would disuade spammers from commenting on blogs or forums.
End of Road
Not really, there are many blogs and forums which would actually invite participation on their posts and thus have an incentive of giving Do Follow tags thus allowing you in your link building exercise. These sites depend upon users and incoming traffic and thus a do follow is a simple trade off which really doesn’t hurt either party (unless there is spam / junk post)
That is what the list on my other blog post is for, you may use the forums for your link building but remember – junk would eventually get caught and deleted, so my simple advice friends, use them, don’t abuse them!!!
Good luck and have a great weekend!
