Yahoo Glue Pages Revisited

OK,

So I was back @ work and looking for more information on Yahoo.in Glue Pages. It’s been over 20 days since it was launched and quick Google search for Glue Pages yielded 3,130,000 in .31 seconds. Search for “Glue Pages” resulted in only 52,600 results though. Anyways, I am sure by the time you search, the numbers would have changed, it may increase or decrease depending upon Google Algorithm to re-assign and re-adjust it’s ranking and relevance to each term.

If you are curious where to find Yahoo Glue Pages, search no more visit www.Yahoo.in and type in your search string. What you see in search results is Yahoo Glue Pages Beta along side Classic Search Results.

What are Related Pages?

These are Glue Pages that we think you might be interested in based on the topic of your search. As an Example if you search for Mumbai ( Financial Capital of India) Yahoo would suggest related information as shown below

How does it help you to use Yahoo Glue Pages?
For a start I typed in “Domain Registration” in search string and the result page consisted of
a. Regular listing of links as you would find in Google or Yahoo Search.
The bonus of using yahoo glue pages was
1. Related News to my search query on domain registration
2. Google Blog Links with keywords of domain name system.
3. Stock Chart quotes ( though it was not valid for my query string, I am sure you would be interested to type google or microsoft to see the results :) )
4. Job listing related to domain registration (in India)
Another search query also fetched related youtube videos, I saw its attempt to find something from Wikipedia but failed to get anything and vanished from screen. Search on term Google and Wikipedia section promptly showed up right on top to tell me more about Google.
As you would expect from any search engine - there is another section of Sponsored results as well, but it kept going ON / OFF i.e would show up sometimes and then disappear completely.
I enjoy using Glue Pages search now, more so because it kind of allows me to read more information on a single sheet instead of opening one page for wikipedia and another for finance related information. If you haven’t tried it yet, I suggest visit Yahoo Glue Pages today and take a preview in beta phase.
If you have used glue pages and have anything to share with us, or have a feedback for me, do feel free to express your views.
Cheers
